Research Summary:

The doctoral research mainly focuses on using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz TDS), combined with optical pumping and/or under external magnetic field conditions, to investigate the optoelectronic and magneto-optical properties of single-layer molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), nitrogen doped carbon nanodots (N-CNDs), and neutron irradiated hexagonal boron nitride (hBN). This study extracted key parameters such as carrier concentration, relaxation time, localization factor, effective mass, and dielectric constant, and analyzed their dependence on optical pump intensity or external magnetic field intensity. In addition, Faraday rotation, ellipticity, and Field constant were measured, providing new insights into the fundamental physics research of these materials and their applications in optoelectronic and magneto-optical devices.
